i wrote this song whilst living on hayling island – a small island near portsmouth, england. at the time i was living on a holiday park with a magician. recovering and struggling with daily seizures and c-ptsd symptoms that haunted my day-to-day living.

ready for a new life. (acoustic version) 2024

one of my favourite things to do is documenting life moments. as a child, i was always FASCINATED with capturing micro-moments – proof of existence. Almost hyper-aware of the fleeting of time. how quickly everything and everyone was growing older with each passing day – not in an ‘omg the end is near !!?’ way, but in a state of constant curiosity. even as a kid i tended to feel nostalgia for moments that objectively weren’t long ago.

i feel blessed to have collapsed a timeline by being able to duet my younger self 2 years apart, from vasty different circumstances (and therefore mindsets)

in the present of 2025, sits a girl recently moved back to her hometown bcp (bournemouth, christchurch & poole, dorset, uk), feeling horrified at two back-to-back male related incidents she would later unpack with her fnd:nead /c-ptsd* specialist – a THERAPEUTIC journey spanning a total of 3 years.

beside her sits a girl in 2024 – on the island – mildly resenting the way she felt behind in life. this moment was a reclaiming and setting in stone her newfound agency she had over her life moving forward. #blessedtimelinesh*t
